Public transport is vital to so many residents in South West Hertfordshire and I remain committed to improving existing services and seeking to expand them where needed.  

The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we work, interact and even travel. I am aware many operators have cut back on their services over the last few years, but residents should not be serviced by only one bus an hour in certain areas.

Many of our communities are serviced by the London Underground, yet we do not receive the same concessions as areas only hundreds of metres away. Ensuring our communities receive the transport outcomes they deserve is one of my longstanding priorities and I will continue to work with operators to ensure that public transport remains accessible to everyone across the constituency.

Gigabit

šŸ”— The risk of delaying gigabit broadband to 2032 is that it will widen the gap between the ambition for digital inclusion and the reality for constituents who still lack reliable gigabit or even basic wi-fi connectivity.

Guide Dogs and Accessibility

šŸ¶ Many constituents have raised the issue of accessibility with me, and itā€™s clear thereā€™s still much more to do making our roads, trains, and transport more accessible.

TfL Disabled Access

70% of my constituents have told me they believe their local Underground stations would benefit from step-free disabled access. Yet despite this demand, Transport for London has decided not to include Rickmansworth or Moor Park in its plans.
