Every year I hold three competitions, to showcase the wealth of talent we have across South West Hertfordshire. These competitions happen at different times of the year, with some excellent prizes, so see the details below and don’t miss out!
My Christmas Card Competition is for KS1 and KS2 children across South West Hertfordshire and the winning entry will be my official Christmas Card for the year, so the more creative and colourful the better! Unfortunately entries for 2025 are closed, but stay tuned for details of my 2026 competition later this year.
My Debating Competition is for secondary school students at our local schools, taking place in The Grand Committee Room in Westminster Hall here in Parliament. This is a great opportunity to embrace the cut and thrust of political life, discussing some of the most complex and prolific issues facing society today.
Lastly, my Essay Competition launches at the start of each year and is for KS4 and KS5 students at our local schools. The winner has the opportunity to undertake a week of Work Experience with me in Parliament, and I have been fortunate enough in recent years to be able to visit many of our secondary schools to launch the competition in person! Unfortunately my Essay Competition is closed to applications for 2026, however details of my next competition will be posted in early 2027.
