🚨 Our Green Belt is under attack. When I pressed the Minister about the Three Rivers District Council’s failure to publish a Local Plan to protect our area, the answer was chilling: “leaving the door open for development without any checks and balances.”
Unfortunately, the worst case scenario has now come to reality. The council has now scrapped its draft Local Plan, wasting £2.5 million of taxpayer money and seven years of hard work, while Labour’s destructive housing targets push unchecked development. This puts our landscapes, village character, and infrastructure at serious risk.
I will not stop standing up against the irreversible harm that is being done to our Green Belt, and I will continue to hold Three Rivers District Council to account for the scrapping of their Local Plan, and the damage this will do to our communities and nature.
