I’ve secured a Westminster Hall debate on 25th June to make the case for more banking hubs in communities like ours.
With bank branches continuing to close across the country, too many people, particularly the elderly, small business owners, and those less confident online, are being left without access to face-to-face banking.
Locally, we’ve seen fantastic work from Conservative Cllrs Vicky Edwards and Ian Campbell who have been championing proposals for a new hub in Abbots Langley. Their efforts have shown just how much demand there is for practical, in-person services on our high streets.
I’ll be using the debate to make the case directly to ministers and press for long-term solutions that put residents and small businesses first.
