Today’s closure of Mount Vernon Urgent Care Centre is deeply disappointing and will be felt by many families across our communities.
Over recent weeks, I’ve been working alongside my colleague David Simmonds MP to oppose this decision, supporting his adjournment debate in Parliament and joining him on-site at Mount Vernon to meet with NHS leaders, staff and residents.
But this fight is far from over. With no upgrades to Watford General on the horizon, losing local urgent care is a serious concern.
So that we can continue to press NHS leaders and ministers for proper consultation and real investment in care, I encourage residents to take part in David’s new Mount Vernon Health Survey so we can present the strongest possible case to Government. (Link in bio).
Let’s keep the pressure on.
