I’m very concerned to hear about the closure of the Urgent Care Centre at Mount Vernon. This is a service that many of my constituents rely on, and its loss will make it harder for residents across South West Hertfordshire and Hillingdon to access the care.
Earlier this year, I contacted Hillingdon NHS Hospitals Trust after hearing rumours about the closure of the minor injuries unit. I was reassured at the time that their priority was delivering a safe and resilient service for the area.
But with the Labour Government now delaying the rebuild of Watford General Hospital until 2032, we’re facing a situation where healthcare access gets worse before it gets better.
I’ll keep working with colleagues like David Simmonds MP to make sure that happens. Please sign the petition, and I urge you to get friends and family to sign too at savemountvernon.co.uk
