During summer recess, I visited some of our brilliant local pubs in South West Herts.
As well as being places to have a pint, they are community hubs, employers, and a vital part of our British heritage.
From speaking with landlords, staff, and patrons, it’s clear the pressures are real. Soaring costs, staffing shortages and new taxes all make it harder to stay afloat.
I am determined to keep fighting for our pubs, so they can continue to serve our communities for generations to come.
