Today on #WorldPharmacistsDay, I want to say a huge thank you to the pharmacists and pharmacy teams across South West Hertfordshire.
They’re often the first people we turn to when something’s not right, offering trusted advice, access to medicines, and reassurance without the need for an appointment.
I’ve had the chance to visit many local pharmacies, listening and watching the teams behind the counter who spot early signs of illness, and provide a link for those who need healthcare close to home.
But it’s also clear that they’re under pressure. Many are operating at a loss, with funding that hasn’t kept pace with demand.
That’s why I will continue to campaign on behalf of our pharmacists, so that they can do what they do best, delivering for local residents.
