I am delighted to announce the launch of my first Short Story Competition for all Key Stage 2 pupils in South West Hertfordshire!

To celebrate World Book Day, I am asking for young authors across South West Hertfordshire to email their short stories to me. I will then judge the entries before choosing a winner and two runners up.

World Book Day is an annual celebration of books and reading where every child in full-time education in the UK is given a voucher to be spent on books. Please follow the link here to read more about how to receive your voucher!

The celebration is also commemorating it’s 25th year in 2022.

Data Handling

The intention is to post the prizes to the winners and runners up. Gagan's office will therefore need the address details of the winners in order to make contact with the parents/ families and arrange to post the prizes to the children’s homes. The data will be kept within Gagan’s office and not shared with any third parties unless the parents consent to their address being forwarded to the prize distributer for postage. The data collected from entries will also be deleted after the conclusion of the competition and all winners have received their prizes.
