Last week Gagan visited Maple Cross JMI & Nursery School to talk to pupils and staff about their excellent environmental initiatives. The school has established a student-led Eco Council, which has worked to reduce energy waste.
Gagan was impressed not just by this display of pupils’ initiative but by the clear goals set out in their Big Switch Off drive. The teachers and senior staff of the school have aspirations to win the Green Flag Eco Award, which is a recognition of environmental consciousness in school.
Gagan is very proud to represent so many excellent schools in South West Hertfordshire, including PMI Primary School who are encouraging excellent initiatives and student engagement on important issues.
