Hospitality and Tourism Sector Relief

I have joined colleagues in signing this letter addressed to the chancellor on behalf of the Hospitality and Tourism sector to ask for an extension of relief measures due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. 

Local Post Office Campaign

Post offices are an essential part of the local community linking businesses with customers and connecting friends and relatives which is why I take their operation and closure very seriously.

More investment in our local NHS

I want to build on the recent £400 million investment in Watford General Hospital by gaining more healthcare funding. We need to build on this success with improved access to healthcare, particularly in the north of the constituency.

Supporting local business

The Conservative Party understands that a dynamic, free market economy is the best and only way to properly fund our public services. I want to encourage business rate reform to support our vibrant independent high street retailers and campaign for more free parking. 

Superfast fibre broadband

I want to ensure that South West Hertfordshire receives access to high quality, fast broadband.

Investment in rural broadband is essential for our small and medium sized businesses, as well as every home across the constituency.

More school funding

I want to see a cash boost to our schools. In the South West Hertfordshire constituency, the average funding per pupil by 2020-21 will increase to approximately £4,635.
